  By Nate Feldman The Sweet Tooth: A Short Story Mark was meeting his friend Julia at a local cafe.  Julia ordered a plain coffee with whole milk and a multi-grain bagel with a small Greek Salad on the side.  Mark ordered a Caramel Latte with an extra big blueberry muffin.   "That looks really healthy," Mark told Julia. "Yeah," she replied.  "And that looks really sweet." Mark smiled.  "I must admit I do have a bit of a sweet tooth.  I  can't get enough of  sweet things.  Perhaps it's an addiction." "It's obvious it's an addiction," Julia replied. "Well, what do you mean?" Mark  enquired .   "I mean, every time we go out, you get sweet things.  Muffins, pastries, cakes, pies, whatever.  And you always get the sweetest type of coffee, like lattes.  When is the last time you ordered a salad?" Mark was a bit  defensive.  " I never realized you were paying so much attention what I put in my mouth....

Class 15, Stocking Up

  Stocking Up By Nate Feldman Joe and Kelcey are at a supermarket.  There is supposed to be a big blizzard coming to the area. Joe: Wow!  The supermarket is really packed today. Kelcey: Well, you heard the weather report.  There's supposed to be a foot to a foot and a half of snow. Joe: Yeah, so we have to stock up on all kinds of things.  Let's go check out the bread aisle .   They arrive at the bread aisle.   Kelcey: Oh, shoot!  It looks like the bread is out of stock .   Joe: Yeah, there must have been a mad rush for it because of the weather.   Kelcey: We could get some flour and just make our own bread.   Joe: Not if we lose power.   Kelcey: Anyway, let's go check out the cereal aisle.  We could always use some good breakfast cereal. Class 13, Gorging

 By Nate Feldman James is in his house.  He is chowing down on a massive bowl of spaghetti with marinara sauce.  There are two others bowls filled with pasta beside him.  Julie, his friend, comes in to talk with him. Julie: Hey James!  What are you up to ? James: Nothing much.  Just chowing down on some pasta with homemade marinara sauce.  I'm so famished I could eat like three bowls of this stuff!  Julie notices the two other bowls of pasta in front of him. Julie: Wow!  Make sure you don't gorge too much on this.  It might give you a bad stomachache.   James: I know.  It's just I haven't eaten in a day or so, and I am starved right now. Class 12: Ghosts in the Woods

By Nate Feldman Jess, Paula, and Tom are walking in the woods and begin to head back to town.   Tom: I'm famished.  I can't wait to get back home and chow down on some spaghetti and meatballs.  Paula: I second that .  I love spaghetti and meatballs. Jess: I'll have the spaghetti but with just marinara sauce.   I'm a vegetarian . As they are exiting the woods, Jess notices a ghost behind Tom and Paula. Jess: You guys won't believe it, but there is a ghost in the woods. Tom: Ha ha ha! You're messing with us!  Jess: No, I'm serious.  Look behind you.  It's right behind the tree. Paula: Come on  Jess.  Stop playing around!  Jess: I'm not playing around!  There is an evil ghost behind that tree, and it's going to eat you if we don't get out of here now!  I think the ghost is the one that is famished !  It will chow down on you!  Tom and Paula continuing laughing at Jess.  Suddenly, the ghost comes out and ...

Class 10: Dialogue

By Nate Feldman Lamar is talking to Ashley about going out to eat. Lamar: I'm starved !  Let's go get a bite somewhere. Ashley: What are you in the mood for? Lamar: I'd like to get some brunch somewhere.  Any good brunch spots around these neck of the woods ? Ashley: There's a diner nearby. Lamar: Yeah, that's just meh.  I want a more traditional brunch place anyway. Ashley: Gotcha.  How about Katy's Place.  They are known for being a great brunch spot.  I hear their pancakes are really awesome.
